A manufacturer of surveillance technology and other products for governments, military and law enforcement customers has entered administration.
Andrew Dolliver, John Sumpton and Jo Robinson of EY's Restructuring team have been appointed as joint administrators of Seven Technologies Group Ltd.
Seven Technologies operates in the defence industry and principally manufactures and provides surveillance technology and other products to governments, military and law enforcement customers.
The group has its headquarters in Leeds, as well as operations, including its manufacturing, in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
As a result of the administration, the majority of the workforce has been made redundant. The initial priority of the administrators is to seek a purchaser for the assets of the group whilst providing support and assistance to employees.
The appointment was made by the directors in accordance with paragraph 12 of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986.
Joint administrator Andrew Dolliver said: “The pandemic coupled with broader macroeconomic headwinds and market uncertainty has resulted in Seven Technologies being unable to continue to trade.
“We are seeking the sale of key assets of the company which includes intellectual property. Whilst carrying out our duty as administrators to maximise recoveries through this process, we are prioritising support and assistance to those impacted by redundancy.”
