Chukwuemelie Eze is a 14 year old student studying at Wallington County Grammar School. Along with his regular studies he has picked up hobby of programming games that matches his favourite game character, Sonic, from the Sonic The Hedgehog Franchise, he is programming this game with little help.
The Sonic game was started on in August 2022. He had the dream of making games ever since he was in primary school which marks the start of his journey in pursuing a talented skill of programming. He started learning tirelessly on programming during the global pandemic in 2020, and then reached this point where he is not only programming his Sonic fangame but has now also started on a more complex game which is a physics simulator which he is doing without any help at all and studying everything needed by himself. “Coding two games at the same time is hard because you need to split time evenly for both” – Chukwuemelie Eze
“The physics simulator is is harder to program because it invovles university level math which I need to learn and understand” – Chukwuemelie Eze
We learn here that what simply seems to be a cool physics simulator game for people to enjoy actually has more than just computer science making it, as this hard working student pursues his dreams of creating an enjoyable physics simulator no matter the difficulties of learning advanced physics and university level math. “I felt humbled by how much I didn’t know but I was determined to learn it anyways” – Chukwuemelie Eze
“I can see myself making more games in the future so I can learn more and benefit the comunity.”
