ITS Technology Name 8 New Full Fibre Build Locations in England –

The ITS Technology Group (its.) has today revealed that their wholesale full fibre broadband and Ethernet network – known as ‘Faster Britain‘ – has started to deploy across part of 8 additional locations in and around London, the Midlands, and the Northwest of England.
At present you can already find ITS’ networks in locations such as Scunthorpe, Greenwich (London), Blackpool, Bristol, Hammersmith and Fulham, Tameside and Nottingham, Lincoln, Chorley in Lancashire, and Stockport, Heaton Mersey and Heaton Moor in Greater Manchester, Accrington and Blackburn in Lancashire, Birmingham, Newark on Trent in the Midlands, and Burton upon Trent in neighbouring Derbyshire.
Since the start of 2022 they’ve also now added parts of Burnley, Trafford Park, Wigan, Wilmslow, Handforth, Camden, Enfield, and Mayfair to this list. In addition, they’ve also extended their Birmingham core network beyond the city centre.
The operator added that, as a result of all this build, they’re currently “on track to pass 25% / 500,000 UK businesses (Ordinance Survey OS Open UPRN data set) by the end of this year“. But we suspect that this figure may include some of those reached by their hybrid wireless networks too.
Daren Baythorpe, CEO of ITS, said:
“I am delighted that Faster Britain is already making a difference in these towns and cities as businesses switch to services over our independent full fibre networks. We continue to focus on building where there is pent up demand for high quality connectivity.
We have invested heavily in our wholesale provision and delivery capabilities in order to provide the access and infrastructure that makes it easy for our partners to provide connectivity solutions for their customers. We use XGS-PON technology to build and install which means the same connection can scale from basic broadband to a 10Gbps Ethernet leased line.”
The operator’s open access wholesale network is currently said to be home to 300 plus IT reseller, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners. Faster Britain partners can access the entire network footprint as a layer 1 (dark fibre), layer 2 (wholesale), or as a layer 3 (internet) connection.
